17 Weeks

I officially felt the baby moving this morning!!! I'm upstairs at work sorting the mail and all of a sudden I feel this crazzzy vibration in my belly. It even made me say out loud, "what was that?". Rebecca asked me what was wrong and I told her what had just happened and she said that I had just felt the baby move (she has a daughter). I walked away for a minute and sure enough I felt it again! It wasn't a rumbly feeling or anything but just like a little butterfly fluttering its wings (I know, that's what every pregnant woman says, but that's really what it feels like!).

Also, my belly button feels huge! I keep sticking my thumb in it because I can't get over how much it is expanding. I wonder if it will pop out?

Our next prenatal apt. is September 4th.

16 Weeks

15 Weeks

We had our second prenatal apt. this afternoon. My lab work all came back fine, bp is fine, and baby is growing too!

Annnnnd...we got to hear the heartbeat!!! It was the most amazing sound I have ever heard. Dr. Gunn said that sometimes you can't hear it because of how the baby is positioned but he was able to find it for us (it brought tears to my eyes).

Speaking of bringing tears to my eyes, so did the scale! I've got to say goodbye to those Skor Blizzards that the baby keeps making me eat...

14 Weeks

Well, we're having a baby!

I thought I would wait a little while before I started our blog but everything seems to be going perfectly so I didn't want to wait any longer.

Our second prenatal apt. is tomorrow. Hopefully we'll be able to hear the heartbeat.

Our first ultrasound is September 23, 2008. We haven't decided yet if we want to know the sex at this apt. or wait until the 26th which is when we have our 3D ultrasound in Halifax. They may not even want to tell us in Kentville so we might not be able to find out until Halifax anyway.

We've decided on our names already!

Our name for a baby girl: Oakley Prime Yeaton.

Our name for a baby boy: Jax Prime Yeaton.

Everyone seems to think we're having a boy! I don't have any "feelings" towards one or the other. We'll have to wait and see...

So, here are my first belly shots at 14w6d! My poor little butterfly is going to be an eagle by the end of this pregnancy.
